About
Profound Gratitude
In the past, our current technological prowess was merely a hint of a possibility, a dream in someones mind of what could be. Our forebearers learned to apply the technology of their day in innovative ways in order to create something new. This series of small steps, collected together into a journey has enabled the world that we live in today.
"If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants,"
-- Isaac Newton
For myself, I recognize the support those Giants have afforded me. It is with this humble attitude that I venture to progress and add my own small portion to the mountain of humanities progress.
Professional Story
I began my machining career humbly as many of us do. At a small facility that specialized in manufacturing tool & die products for oil & gas and entrepreneurial industries, I learned the foundational skills that I needed to become proficient in machining. Working in the tool & die industry required that I understand every step of the manufacturing process from quoting, to design and programming to finishing. The tolerances and attention to detail required by the components that I produced gave me a an appreciation for quality and precision. I continue to reflect on those first few years of my career and apprecate the lessons that I learned.
I progressed through various roles in the world of machining. This breadth of experience has provided me the opportunities to learn new skills and to become proficient in many areas of manufacturing. When I had an opportunity to change my path and focus on the sales profession, I embraced the challenge. This next step in my career provided me with the knowledge of how to communicate the value of products and to demonstrate their use and benefits to our customers. I learned how to listen to the needs of the customer and to provide solutions that met their needs.
Coming to Seco Tools has been a rewarding experience. I have been afforded the opportunity to continue to grow and learn in my machining career. The knowledge that I have gained from my colleagues and the experience that I have been a part of have helped me to grow both personally and professionally. I have enjoyed each step of the journey and look forward to the next chapter in my career.
